How to Report/Block Users

Social media can be an incredibly wonderful thing.  It allows us to connect with our fellow fans around the world, and even with some of the cast and crew.  However, some people choose to take advantage of this medium, and use it for spreading messages of violence and hate.

Here are a few tips on how to handle these particular users.

Q.  "How do I report inappropriate or abusive things on Facebook?"

A.  "We remove things that violate the Facebook Terms(ex:  pornography, hate speech, threats, graphic violence, bullying or spam).  If you come across something on Facebook that violates our terms, use the report link near the abuse to submit a report."

Q.  "How do I block someone?"

A.  "To block someone:

1.  Click the  at the top right of any Facebook page.

2.  Click How do I stop someone from bothering me?

3.  Enter the name or e-mail address of the person you want to block and click Block.

4.  If you entered a name, select the specific person you want to block from the list that appears.

People will not be notified when you block them.

If you can't find someone using this method, try going to the person's timeline and selecting Report/Block this person from the  dropdown."

Abusive Behavior:  "Abusive behavior encompasses many different situations--for example, having an argument with someone else on Twitter or discovering that someone you're following is tweeting things you find very offensive."

Block and Ignore:  This will prevent a user from following or replying to you.

To block a user:

1.  Log into your Twitter account.

2.  Go to the profile page of the person you wish to block.

3.  Click the person icon on their profile page.

4.  Select Block from the options list.

Report a Violation:  "After reviewing our policies, if you believe an offending account is violating our rules, file a report."

"Twitter only removes users that are in violation of the Twitter Rules and Terms of Service."

To report a violation on Twitter you will need your username, a detailed description of your issue, and direct links to any tweets you would like reviewed.
